Dominican immigration under Law 285-04 is built visa-first: you obtain a residence visa at a Dominican consulate abroad, then convert it into residency at the Dirección General de Migración before ONAPI. From residency to citizenship: naturalization

Residency is a status; citizenship is an inheritance you pass on. The Dominican Republic permits dual citizenship, and naturalization typically opens after two years of permanent residency — with accelerated eligibility for fast-track investors and for spouses of Dominican citizens. The file runs before the Ministry of Interior & Police and ends with an interview in Spanish and, eventually, a Dominican passport. We assemble the dossier, prepare you for the interview, and chase the file until the decree is published.
