Health-regulated products may require a DIGEMAPS product registration or another category-specific authorization before import or sale. The route may also involve establishment authorization, VUCE or no-objection steps, and DGA customs release. We map the layers before filing.
The General Health Law 42-01 places relevant product categories under sanitary surveillance administered by DIGEMAPS. DIGEMAPS publishes category- and route-specific procedures; product registration, establishment authorization, shipment-level VUCE or no-objection processing and DGA customs release are distinct layers. What the selected DIGEMAPS route may require
There is no universal dossier. Depending on the product and procedure, the live checklist may call for some of the following:
- Product dossier — composition or formula, specifications and certificates of analysis.
- Free-sale evidence — proof the product is lawfully sold in its country of origin, with apostille or legalization only when the selected route requires it.
- Manufacturer credentials — operating licenses and good-manufacturing-practice evidence.
- Label artwork — language, ingredients, lot or date coding and party details required for the category.
- Local-party documents — details for the titleholder or applicant, any required Dominican representative or authorised establishment, and the importer.
The registration path, step by step
- Classify correctly. Classification identifies the relevant service, but the live procedure and product facts determine the documents, fee and timing. Confirm the route before relying on an estimate.
- Compile and legalize. We assemble the documents required by the selected live service and coordinate legalization, apostilles or translations only where that route requires them.
